Question about Windows 10 ISO downloaded onto USB Stick

Yes,
As long as you install Windows 10 before June 29th then it is a free upgrade, after that I assume the download links will all come down and it will turn into a purchase page.
But as far as I know you need to have activated it before June 29th and have it installed, not just downloaded.

Yes, I was also of the opinion that having upgraded to Windows 10 (and had it activated) and then reinstalled Windows 8.1 (which is what I've done) it should be possible to install Windows 10 after July 29th. One possible flaw in that article is the assumption that the (free) media creation tool links would still work after July 29th, they might not. I plan to download whatever Windows 10 build is current towards the end of July and if I later decide to go back to Windows 10 I'll install that. If the build has moved on I'll get whatever upgrade build (and it's updates) are then available via normal Windows Update.

I really need the NVIDIA Optimus GPU switch issue fixed before I go back to Windows 10....
