I was told it would the best to update to the lastet Windows while I have time, I wanted to stay with windows 7. Should I update or can i stay with winddows 7?
For an existing PC you already own that came with Windows 7?
You can stay with Windows 7 for sure. It does comes with downsides, such as no DX12 (big consideration if using it for games) support and its lifecycle will end sooner meaning the eventual end of security updates and so forth: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/13853/windows-lifecycle-fact-sheet
Then you may want to give serious consideration to upgrading to Windows 10 in order to get DX12, due to the significantly better performance it can bring in games. While there are not many DX12 games yet released, we're already seeing improvements in some that are such as Ashes of the Singularity, and the DX12 patch for Warhammer Total War currently in progress. Deus Ex Mankind Divided and Civ 6 releasing this year will also support DX12 I believe, as will presumably more and more titles.
If there are particular aspects of Win 10 that you don't like it might be possible to get around or customise those such that it's not an issue. People here might have some advice on that.
