Quick Question

It is not a big problem, but wanted to check if someone can explain it to me. Just received my PC, looking and behaving fantastically, but on one partition I found two folders: _SMSTaskSequence and MININT folders. Does anyone know what are they and if it's necessary to keep them untouched?
Apologies if this is the wrong place to post, couldn't find the right thread. Appreciate if someone could enlighten me on the subject.

Thanks

You can delete them but I would suggest re-installing Windows from a fresh image downloaded from M$ as an alternative. It'll be a bit of work but it will be fully worthwhile IMO. You can then be confident that everything is up to date and as it should be.

The fact that those folders are hanging around suggests that something went wrong during the install onto your rig. PCS will use MDT deployment to install Windows/Drivers/Etc. Normally those folders would be removed as part of the process but as they are still there, something stopped the process.

yeah clean install as per these instructions would be best

Download a new copy of Windows using the Media Creation Tool to an 8GB (min) USB.
Boot that USB and choose a Custom Install.
Delete all UEFI partitions on the system drive (EFI System, Recovery, MSR Reserved, Primary).
Select the unallocated space that results and click the Next button. The installer will create the correct partitions and install Windows.
Run Windows Update repeatedly, even across reboots, until no more updates are found.
You may need/want to download and install the latest graphics driver from the Nvidia website (they change so regularly the latest version isn't always in the Windows libraries).

Forgot to add that those folders are not in the system partition on disc C, just on the different drive. Does it mean anything?
