Quiet PC for gaming/music editing

Hi

Looking for a PC caple of gaming and editing music files. Already have soundcard/quality speakers that I can use, budget about £1500. I have come up the spec below (I am unlikley to overclock). Any help/suggestions would be appeciated

i doubt you'll need i7-970, 3 hard drives, and a blu ray plus a separate CD rom (theres a joint one to save on bays)
You should have a look at the FAQ forums which will advise you on spec alternatives!

obviously if you don't care about saving a few pounds, just press confirm and buy it :)

Change the RAM for the 1333mhz modules because you're not going to benefit from it since you're not overclocking, the rest of the build looks pretty good.
 
hi, thanks for the advice on RAM. didn't realise that you need to overclock to use 1600mhz ram. PCS seem to have it as the default RAM on their non overclocked Gaming PC.

Will the Coolmaster Sileo Case keep the components cool enough as it is not described as a gaming case?

No you don't need to overclock to use it, it's just that you're not going to really gain anything from using it over the 1333mhz RAM. I'm not really sure why it has been put on the gaming PC's as standard, seems a bit strange. The sileo case should be fine, Gorman used it for a while and didn't have any problems.
