Random freezes

Hey guys,

I have had my PC 1 year its amazing. But recently I have been experiencing random freezes where everything locks up except the mouse. I know everything crashes as all the RGB also defaults to to the standard colours in the case so I know ique stops running too.

This hasn't happened while gaming or using any specific apps. Normally triggers when I try and click something from the task bar but not always.

I have checked the event log and nothing is shown other than the fact I had to hard restart the computer.
I also went through dropped all the temp files etc and updated all my drivers.

Is there anything I else I can check for some idea on the cause?

Thanks

If it were me, and there was no obvious indicator of a root cause or responsible app, I’d do a wipe of OS drive and clean install of windows and ensure all drivers are updated. I’d then validate stability of system before reinstalling games etc. it’s probably the quickest path to a solution than aimless trouble shooting.

Gotcha. I didn't wanna head down this path in case I had missed something else to try.
