Raspberry PI

Hi guys and I hope I find you well.

I am looking in to getting a laptop in a couple of months surfing, browsing, editing and hopefully getting a raspberry PI. Just wondered are these easy enough to code I am pretty good with technology studied computing and stuff pretty much all my life and have a couple of friends who have a PI and love them.

I saw one with a retro gaming kit (controller, memory card, wiring etc) for 50 pound RRP. Any advice on this guys? Has anyone ever done it?

If you're handy with python then you'll find it a doddle. Very basic programming language and pretty straight forward. I've not delved the depths of it myself but I have read around a few bits of code here and there for them. Amazing bits of tech but you'll need to set a fair bit of time aside to make the most of it.
