Re: Advice regarding specs for new Desktop

I plan to use the computer for computer chess matches and development hence the 2080ti. The comp may run continuously for 24 - 72 hrs upto a week at a stretch.

(the final CPU specs would be decided after i know what new stuff is being outed at CES

would the cooling be enough or should i go for liquid cooling

I forgot to add the main bit ie regarding cooling choice

Processor Cooling: Corsair H115i PRO Cooler w/ PCS Ultra Quiet Fans

Thermal Paste: COOLER MASTER MASTERGEL MAKER THERMAL COMPOUND

Liquid series vs equivalent Corsair Hydro cooled O/C desptop

the price differential can work out to about £350-£400 everything else remaining same

Is there any advantage in a liquid cooled system vs traditional cooling? eg using a corsair hydro 115 esp for continuous use ie running an O/C processor and GPU continuously for days at a time for Computer chess matches and development?

Really? Even including the GPU cooling?

I won't bother drawing up matching specs for now as we're waiting for CES, but £350 seems a little on the low side versus what I'd have expected for both CPU and GPU custom liquid cooling in PCS's liquid series...
