Thinking of ordering the Recoil IV but I was wondering is there any more info on the panel around - how is it? Is it on par with the old 144Hz one? And how suitable the GIGABIT offered is for gaming since there's only one option...

edit. might be really dum questions but thought you never go wrong asking lol

Thanks!

I think that settles it for me - I've been planning to order one of these all the way back from Recoil II ...

edit: ...aaaaaand the order has been placed.

This is what I went with.

Not sure about the GPU but I've understood that this 2070 is the golden middle of this selection - any gains on getting the 2080?

Some odd choices, 32gb is a waste of money for gaming or streaming. Win10 pro is, well, for professionals and us normies wouldn’t have any use for the extra features over windows 10 home

What's it for?

Any reason for windows pro or 32Gb RAM?

It's basically going to be my main pc as I spend most of my time on the move. When I'm on the road use is mostly gaming and home there's more emphasis on multitrack recording and audio editing (I do carry an audio interface with me while traveling also but then it's only needed to record one channel or stereo in at the most vs 8-16 tracks in live room), pcb design and off course "office" work. I've survived quite a while on a maxed out Latitude 7280 lol (I've put in wwan-module, max ram, ips-panel etc.) so I thought I'll max this one straight out the box.

So gaming, audio/video work etc... It should do it all while being mobile.

And for the Pro I just feel that the difference is so small I'm gonna roll with it as I've got no clue about Windows 10 and I'm a bit afraid (I still use 7 Pro) I know there's some security benefits but I guess it really isn't that big of a deal for me. And what I've read there really isn't anything you could not do with third party software.

And as I've been planning to order of one these for so long there really is no reason to leave anything behind (except for the empty PCIe)...

32gb ram is understandable but win10 pro won’t give you anything concrete over Home.

There no point with Pro for your uses, it just includes tools for joining a domain and bitlocker, neither of which you will use.

It's not like the Pro edition of windows 7 where it added lots of feature, will bring no benefit to your uses at all.

The 2070 Super is the best you'll get from the PC Specialists build because the 2080 Super Max-Q is not offered.
