Recoil IV - low volume

Hi

I've seen various posts over the years about low microphone volume for several laptops from PCS, including the Recoils. Most recently someone having low mic volume problems on a Recoil III. Has anyone else had these problems and, if so, how did you resolve them? Or is there just some fundamental flaw in the microphone hardware/software for these machines?

Hey there, unfortunately no solution. The audio hardware is just crap on this laptop.The only thing you can do to improve the audio is looking for updated drivers. You can check my topic about it (search in my profile) where I list the issue of this model and what I did to fix what I could.

Expect terrible audio IN/OUT anyway. No matter what. It's really ridiculous that in 2020 we have to discuss this kind of problems when every brand, even the most crappy ones, don't even go into details about the audio hardware as they are always more than decent.
