Recoil Series: 17inch ordered

Hello Everyone,

I am new to the PC Specialist channel and I am trying to find my way around.

I ordered a Recoil Series 17 inch laptop and a modem a week ago, the laptop was delivered on Friday 30th June, 2023. I then made arrangements to customise the system with updates, anti virus programs, file downloads and transfers etc., on Saturday and Sunday.

Found out first thing Saturday morning, the laptop is in a 15 inch chassis not the 17 inch ordered.

Contacted PC Specialist, they checked the S/N number to confirm a 15 inch was delivered instead of the 17 inch; seems like I was delivered someone else's laptop and they have mine.

An RMA was issued for collection of the Laptop on Monday, 03rd July, 2023. This was been done.

I urgently need the laptop, have waited a week to get started and have urgent work to complete.

I have made a number of calls to PCS Customer Service for assistance, trying to find out when I am likely to get the laptop I ordered despatched to me; in a day or two.

Not able to get a clear answers, some suggestions are weeks for an RMA. It would be quicker for me to cancel this order and re-order the Recoil Series 17 at an estimated 3-5 working days delivery time.

I would rather not cancel but I have asked to be put in contact with a Supervisor or Manager today so that I can at least get an estimate for delivery of the Recoil Series 17 ordered, but there don't seem to be any Managers about or are very busy right now. Nevertheless, I left a message to request someone urgently email me today with some kind of delivery date.

I will wait until end of day, to see whether anyone responds by email to provide assistance, otherwise unfortunately, it is back to looking at Brand names to satisfy our PC needs.

Thank you for your feedback on this purchase, of course we would never want to see a customer in a position reporting issues with their systems new or old.

I have been advised that there has been a misunderstanding for which we apologise. The laptop once received at our HQ is being dispatched back out to you. We hope once you receive the laptop back you can start to enjoy and rely on it.
