I recently purchased a Recoil Series laptop from PCSpecialist for 3D work using 3ds max. This is my 5th PC from these guys. I needed a powerful laptop that I could travel with and work remotely. So far this laptop has exceeded my expectations.

The battery life is quite good, easily lasting a few hours in office mode but it's not doing very well under 3D work which is expected. This allows me to work for extended periods without needing to plug in, which is essential for mobility.

The overall performance has been fantastic thanks to the top-notch specs - the Intel i9 24 core processor, Nvidia RTX 4060 graphics, and 64GB of RAM handle complex 3D scenes with ease. Even with high poly models and dense textures, everything runs smoothly with no slowdowns.

I also appreciate the liquid metal cooling system, which keeps the laptop from overheating even under heavy loads. This would allow me to potentially turn the Recoil into a workstation down the line if needed.

The portability has also been great. Despite the 17" screen, the laptop isn't too bulky or heavy to easily transport.

Overall I'm very satisfied with this purchase. The Recoil Series laptop provides excellent performance for 3D work, while still being portable enough for working on the go. The specs are top-notch and it has handled everything I've thrown at it in 3ds max smoothly.
I would highly recommend this laptop to anyone needing serious power in a mobile workstation.

Indeed. At first, I was not sure if the 4060 would handle what I do but actually, it does - super happy with the purchase.
