Recommend an App to monitor and control Laptop fan speed & temps

Can someone recommend an app to monitor and control fan speeds and temps on an Optimus II. My old laptop was a Dell and I had a Dell specific app that was able to control fans based on set temperature levels... Is there anything that would work well with an Optimus II Laptop? Does anyone on here use anything already that they would recommend?

i think speedfan is the only one, although it never worked on my HP laptop, it may work for you though

OK, I have tried Speedfan and it only shows temps, no configuration or control over the fan settings available... Anyone know of any other apps that could do this?
