Hi everyone,

I am trying to reinstall Windows 10 but facing the following warning. Please see image attached.

Does anyone know how to sort this out? I've checked my BIOS and I can't find how to enable "disk controller"

Thanks in advance!

Regards,
Guilherme

Delete the partition and see if it will install to the spare space.

Agreed. We don't know what partition type that is, but if it's an MBR partition in a UEFI booted system then you will see that message. Delete the partition (you WILL lose all data on there), select the 'unallocated space' that rersults and just click the Next button. The installer will do the rest.

Thank you both.

I've created another partition "primary type" and still the same issue. Photos attached.

Thanks guys

you need to do a complete clean install following these instructions

Download a new copy of Windows using the Media Creation Tool to an 8GB (min) USB.
Boot that USB and choose a Custom Install.
Delete all UEFI partitions on the system drive (EFI System, Recovery, MSR Reserved, Primary).
Select the unallocated space that results and click the Next button. The installer will create the correct partitions and install Windows.
Run Windows Update repeatedly, even across reboots, until no more updates are found.
You may need/want to download and install the latest graphics driver from the Nvidia/AMD website (they change so regularly the latest version isn't always in the Windows libraries).

As per what @SpyderTracks has said - and what I wrote earlier(!) - don't create any new partitions. The likely problem with that one you created is that you didn't format it.

But you do not need to create partitions, the installer will do all that. Follow the instructions from @Martinr36.

Thanks everyone. I was using before the ISO image of W10 PCSpecialist gave me. Once I downloaded a new one from Media Creation Tool that @Martinr36 shared, it worked as a glove straight away. I didn't know that such a thing would make a difference.

Fresh and smooth new W10 running with no issues.

THANK YOU ALL!!! VERY APPRECIATED GUYS!
