RTX 3070 review

Hi all,
I have the RTX 3070, it was recommended for 4k content.
My advice to anyone on a budget is to go lower than this. I ran a 1 gig on Youtube 4k and it buffered.
This was my I5 and the graphics card, I plugged it into a 4k monitor, buffered.
Now I've got the 11th gen I7, 4k is the singing and dancing through this 3070.
It's like driving a BMW with Rolls Royce engines.
It can handle absolutely everything I throw at it.
Its instant, like coffee, the 3070, Turn it on and it delivers the goods within seconds.

Is this a PCSpecialist system? Can you post your full specs so we can see what you're reviewing?

I suspect it’s this prebuilt system, going by what OP describes.

That being said, I wouldn’t personally recommend that people go lower than a 3070 for 4K at 60Hz. For AAA gaming with higher settings and ray-tracing it’s likely to get muddy and hover between 25-40 frames per second with anything lower.

60FPS is the lowest amount of frames you should be aim to be pushing as a PC gamer… and it’s actually a somewhat diluted experience at that level if you’re playing a fast paced game.

I am talking about you can go lower on a budget and still get a good experience at 4k.
And I was explaining why that’s not generally recommended, is all. If all you play is older or low end games a 3060Ti would be fine. But it will already struggle for higher FPS on AAA games at 4K now, in another 12 months it’ll have an even harder time keeping up.

4k content, ie 4k on Youtube, is a whole different kettle of fish than gaming though. Most people request builds for gaming PCs. It needs to be clarified the use case you are reviewing.

If you are suggesting 4k viewing content rather than gaming content then I would whole heartedly agree. You wouldn't even need a gaming GPU for 4k viewing (I have a laptop with a 4k screen & 2x 1080p screens utilising the on-board GPU with no problems). A bit of hardware acceleration will never go wrong but a 1050ti would do 4k viewing content in its sleep.
