Running a multi-monitor setup

Helloo!

About 2 years ago I bought a 17" Optimus laptop from PC Specialist running a Quad core i7 and a 660m. I am trying to set up a multi monitor set-up, however I am running into a few issues. I basically have 2 24" Monitors that I want to use alongside the 17" laptop screen, however I am starting to think that this is not possible? But I am unsure, I was wondering if anyone could shed some light on this?

So, for now I have the two 24" monitors running whilst the laptop screen is disabled, I have changed it so that when I close the laptop lid/screen the pc does not sleep or shut down, so that I can tuck it away in my desk and use it a bit like a tower desktop pc - Will this have any problems with regards to heat and damaging the screen?

Any input would be appreciated :D

Many laptops do not support more then 2 displays at any one time, so you can have 2 external or laptop +1 but often not both.

As far as closing the screen and tucking it away, it shouldn't be a problem but I always like to leave the lid open just a little so the screen isn't in contact with any hot spots.
