Screen brightness cannot be adjusted anymore, some keys randomly stop working, etc

Hello!

I have several issues with my laptop, ordered at the beginning of this year.

- I experienced regular BSODs linked to TPSync.sys, and PCSPECIALIST suggested to download the touchpad driver again. This worked for a week before going back to daily blue screens, after looking around I fond a fix suggesting to disable hkbdfltr in the registry. So far this seems to work, fingers crossed.
- After a few months the customized backlighting of the keyboard stopped working. I needed to open Flexikey for it to suddenly start up again. However for the past month this trick doesn't seem to work anymore.
- The screen brightness hotkey wasn't working when I first got the PC, I found a fix for it (forgot what it was), it worked for a while but suddenly stopped. The option in the control panel would also not work. I then found out I cold adjust the brightness from Clevo Control Center, which I used for a while, until it, again, stopped working. My screen is now at 100% brightness at all times, I have no way to turn it down, and it's straining my eyes completely as you can imagine...
- The audio jack seems to stop working after the laptop has entered sleep mode. My headphones are still detected, as Realtek opens, but no sound is coming out.
- Finally, at random times, without moving the laptop whatsoever, some keys will randomly stop working, namely: backpsace, enter (but the one on the numpad still works), 9 on the numpad, u x and q. And they start working again after a while.

Drivers are up to date, have been uninstalled and reinstalled, etc.

PCSPECIALIST suspects a hardware issue, I'm more and more convinced it's software, and connected to Clevo Control Center (which seems... pretty infamous if I trust my Google searches). The laptop has been treated nicely, and a number of these issues would happen after the laptop would enter and leave sleep mode, which is why I believe it's linked to software. However they still happen even after disabling sleep mode...

Would love any help on this, if anyone has seen or experienced something similar. The failing screen brightness and keyboard issues are driving me up the walls.

Have you updated your control center software since you've had it?

It's likely it's out of date, you can find a current one from www.clevo.com.tw. The clevo model number will be on a sticker on the underside of the laptop.

So I did that today, and I think uninstalling and reinstalling Clevo Center was what did the trick! Brightness is fully adjustable again, my eyes are so so grateful. For some reason this has also improved the performance in Photoshop... weird. (haven't seen any other performance issues while playing games etc). I only hope this doesn't mean the BSODs are back.

However the audio jack and the keyboard issues remain :| I found today the 5 and + on numpad can also be affected.

Hi @tyu.77315
Did you find a solution for the broken keyboard ?
I have the same problem, and the computer was sent back to pcspecialist, but they "could not replicate the problem". I'm guessing they did not really look into it..
I received the computer back, and the problem remains: 10% of the keys don't work anymore.
I hope you had more luck
