After receiving my PC from PCspecialist and noticing the set up from inside and how well crafter it was, I wanted to have a go and try to get together a lower end PC, get some parts and see how challenging it would be to build a pc.
I got the following parts:
-400w PSU
-Intel Core i3 processor
-Intel H61 Chipset Motherboard
-Coolermaster Storm Scout
-HD 6670
I use the cd-room and hard drive from my old Dell.
The most difficult part was to get the stand off screws and place the motherboard inside the case, it took me ages to put the screws because the space available is limited. Once that was sort it the rest was pretty straightforward, the way the coolermaster case is designed made connecting the cdroom drive and hard drive pretty fast. It took me around 3 hours to get everything together inside the case but then the PC wouldn't turn on, I should mention that during my time building the PC I received constant help from Tom and Corfate that pointed out that the power cables from the case were not fitted in the motherboard! Once those were fitted the PC was running fine, I installed the drivers and so far it is working well. I really like the coolermaster case, the option to turn on/off the red lights is nice and I am able to install additional fans. I spent around £270 and it was worth the experience, I feel now more confident to install things like additional fans, hard drives or even modding. My next project would be to replace the CPU cooler, add 2 side fans and improve my cable management skills.
