Ok the good news is, my PC has arrived in great shape and I'm super pumped to get everything setup.

I have however created myself a problem. I got confused on which 3 pin plug was for my brand new out of the box 144hz 1440p monitor, and which one was for the PSU. So before I end up frying my new rig I just came to ask if it matters which 3 pin plug I use?

Yes, you need to install & configure the fan control software - either Armory Crate for motherboard-controlled fans, or iCue for Commander Core/Pro-controlled fans.
