My 14" SkyFire arrived on Tuesday. When booting the system in to the 30 day Windows 8.1 trial that came pre-installed, I immediately noticed that there was only 1 HD showing. I checked Disk Management, and I tried checking in the BIOS as good as I could. But I couldn't see the HDD anywhere.
I didn't dare to open the case, as I have no real idea of what I'm doing. But I did see what appeared to be a 2,5 inch HDD where the DVD drive should be (I didn't include a DVD drive in my build).
I immediately opened a tech request with PC Specialist, but haven't heard back from them yet. As such I have 2 questions.

- How long does it usually take PCS to reply to tech support emails? (I'd prefer not to call them)
- Would it be advisable for me to open the case and check if the cables are still properly connected? I would need some serious help on how to access this area. As I don't know how I can get to that part. It seems to be the only area with no screws. I would probably prefer to send it back and have PCS do it, but I'm guessing it's a disconnected cable due to transport and I would hate to send it back for a 3 sec job I could do as well.
