I did post about backlit keyboard options on the Skyfire II a while back and was told it was not supported by this model of laptop. After installing some more RAM, I was curious about what exactly stops the backlit keyboard being available on the Skyfire II? I watched a disassembly tutorial for which he had a backlit keyboard, and I have the port on my motherboard. I also assume that MS1762 is the version of motherboard and there are laptops out there which look identical but with a backlit keyboard. The only conclusion I can come to is that it is a BIOS restriction, or presumably I have overlooked something?
I'd just like to confirm I cannot get a keyboard as it's something that I'd really love to have if I could. Thanks for any help!
