Thought it would be standard practice to do a quick run down of my experience, so here goes:
-
PC Specialist Service:
No complaints. i heard about the infamous pre-production stage, but I think I may have been extremely lucky as this was over very quickly, everything was snappy and sharpish.

The Laptop itself:
Chassis;
Build quality seems acceptable overall, the panel which the keyboard sits in feels pretty flimsy though, the screen can flex with not much effort, which actually worries me a little, im not actually how strong the screen is to pokes (its been A HELL OF ALOT OF TIMES BY IGNORANT FRIENDS). The speakers arent great, which is to be expected; the 900p screen is nice and displays colours nicely imo. Keyboard is good, i like it alot, its no premium keyboard ofcourse but its good. Mousepad sucks, theres much worse out there dont get me wrong but this isnt good by a long shot, use a mouse. Airflow i'd say is above average but when gaming it gets LOOUD, but loud is better than hot for me. 14" screen makes portability very feasible.

Performance;
Performance is....... EXEMPLARY; every game ive tried so far runs at least on 900p, high settings with 30fps, general windows performance is good (only held back by my 5400rpm hdd which will be replaced by this time next year), the 850m is truly a capable card, performs like 750 Ti, the i5 4210M is no slouch either, ive only ever hit full cpu load once and that was when i was compiling lighting in unreal engine 4; and ive played AC:U on it.

Overall for £553 i got one hell of a bargain, no way i'd get this kind of performance for that price elsewhere, i think its a good buy and im hoping it will keep in games until 2018, not neccesarilly 900p 60fps, but it will hold for a while

question to other skyfire iv owners: how strong is the 900p screen? my friends keep poking it no matter how much i b*tch at them, thanks :)

Display brightness

Is the display brightness really as bad as other reviewers say?
Could the laptop be used outdoors?
