Sound and Mic - NEED HELP

I brought this PC about 2 weeks ago now and the mic on my headphones didn't work so I went ahead to go purchase another headset but the mic still didn't work. I attempted to try fix it threw multiple YouTube tutorials but then my sound completely cut off, so I then went to Microsoft Support Team and they couldn't fix it so they told me to got to you guys which is where I am now also when I plug in a headset it's meant to ask 'which device did you plug in?' but now that doesn't show up either, I'll list my full specs below.

We’ll also need the make and model headset and which jack are you plugging it into, case or motherboard?
