SSD or No SSD?

I'm looking to buy a Laptop and I've put it all together and have come up with a good little machine. But I am wondering if it is worth me buying a SSD that I will store the OS on. I also am wondering how can I tell PCspecialist to put the OS onto the SSD if I chose to buy one. And finally, what size SSD should I buy for JUST the OS? 64GB or 128GB?

Cheers guys!

Dennis.

Whether or not is worth it depends on you. If it doesn't mean compromising in other components go for it, if you choose the ssd as the primary drive the OS wll be installed there. 120gb is ideal just for the OS and main applications

To get PCS to install the OS on it select it as the first drive. Otherwise if its mSATA PCS use that as the first drive and install the OS on that.

120GB would be better if you plan to have more than just the OS on it.

i7-4710MQ VS i5-4340M

Hi guys, I'm looking at what processor I should put into my laptop. My main uses will be gaming, photo/video editing and on the occasion my college work (word documents/spreadsheets ect). My question is what would be better for these tasks?

Cheers guys!

Do I need to buy a Gigabit LAN network card or does the laptop come with an Ethernet port already?

Cheers guys

Difference between Gaming laptops and Top Spec laptops?

What is the difference? So far all I have noticed is Top spec is cheaper... but why? o_O

If you select the same laptop from either category its the same price to start with and its exactly the same spec (i.e. the MiargeII from the 'Top Spec' section is the same as the MirageII from the 'Gaming Laptop' section). I think PCS have just grouped them to make it easier for people who may not know anything about hardware to get a good starting point for the sort of laptop they need :)
