Star Citizen campaign official release????

This is so weird, we were just talking about the insanity of this game being still in beta 10 years later and having generated $1/2 BILLION (yes, that's accurate) in crowdfunding since release.

Apparently they've officially announced that development of the campaign is near completion, they're just polishing it off!

Is it just the cynic in me who thinks the 'polishing' will require another £1/2 billion and require multiple resets of everyone's accounts so that they start from scratch and have to pay 10 of thousands each to get their ships back?

Pretty sure they've said this about multiple things that then never came to fruition, Squadron 42 for example
