Start up applications

Hi there,

This forum has been incredibly informative so far, my apologies for another question!

Ive noticed on my task manager - start up programmes that I have a ‘Intel(R) Performance Maximizer Tray App’ there.. however it has not got an icon (when is previously did) and says the start up impact is ‘not measured’.

Ive pressed on Open File Location which takes me to a shortcut, which leads me to believe the file is missing maybe?

Apparently it’s still running in the background but just a little concerned as to what this might mean?

I don't know Intel Performance Maximiser, but is it possible that you've configured it to not display a tray icon?

If you want a tray icon I'd be inclined to uninstall the software and then reinstall it again.

It’s to do with overclocking so I don’t really want to mess with it. I just always thought that if the icon has disappeared that meets the root file has been deleted maybe?
