Steam Issues

I had to install Windows 7 again today after my SSD died. I fortunately installed my Steam games to my storage HDD for obvious reasons. I have reinstalled Steam, but not it is saying I need to re-download the games. I go to the folder where the games were installed (over 50GB so they are there) however I can't seem to show Steam they are installed already...

If I remember, last time I did this I put them in the folder, and then ran them, it would goto download but not need to.

Sorry, I'm a little lost, do you mean when you last tried this, it still tried to make you download them again?

Basically, even though it asks you to download them again, just click yes, and it should correct it self.

Tried, starts downloading it from scratch. *sigh*

Have you tried to verify the integrity of the game cache's?

I found the issue. Steam started to download the game and it somehow messed around with my steamapps folder. Deleted the local files and hey presto.
