did a full reset. found out that gta had some how managed to wipe my entire drive. been trying to set everything back up but im just so done for now. took me ages last time to get my pc to where i wanted it to be.
I doubt it was GTA. I'd be very concerned about the health of that drive now. Check the SMART data with Crystal Disk Info (https://crystaldiskinfo.en.uptodown.com/windows. Post the output here if you like.

I don't think this drive fully supports the SMART standards - many SSDs don't. The Current, Worst and Threshold column values are too perfect to be genuine and the Raw values can only be fully interpreted by the drive vendor.

Values I'd normally want to see on an SSD are the Uncorrectable Error Count (that's zero which is excellent) and the Hardware ECC Recovered Count (which is never zero but whether that value of 0x7CB0 is significant depends on the drive - I doubt it is). On balance there doesn't seem to be anything wrong with this drive.

However, I would still be wary and if a similar thing happens again I would contact PCS and see whether they will replace the drive for you.
