Suggestions to improve !?

Was looking to spend £2,000 - £2,500 for a good system that will last a few years.
I do a fare amount of gaming and also a lot of video editing/creating.
I use a 27" monitor with 1900x1200 resolution so I need good graphic card to produce some decent FPS while gaming.

Never too sure on the best value for buck with graphic cards. I want one that will be good for 4 or 5 years and a motherboard that will accommodate an additional graphic card if I ever understand the benefits of crossfire.
Here's the starting package .. still looking and trawling the WWW for comparisons to improve it.
Is there any great benefit in getting an i7xxx instead of the i5-4670 ?

Been using Windows 8 for a while now and with the new 8.1 changes coming in October it looks like a winner.
