Just grab 1x8gb stick instead? And the laptop can only have one 2.5" HDD and an mstat SSD (a second 2.5" drive can be added by replacing the DVD drive with a HDD caddy). If your HDD isn't 2.5" then it won't fit and if it's 5400rpm then I'd suggest getting the scorpio black 7200rpm drive.

i currently have a HDD caddy but i need the cd rom sometimes , so i will buy the laptop with a cdrom just in case , hard drive is 2.5 1TB SATA-600 7200 rpm 32 MB use in current laptop , but since the cd-rom is going out anyway i might buy 14 or the 13.3 models ..

You could purchase the Optimus 15.6" if that fits your budget as it has 2 2.5" bays. Or get an msata SSD instead

since you have the cosmos 15.6 how is the airflow and how easy is to open it and change the drives ?
Also does it have back airflow so i can use a cooler under ?

I haven't changed the drivers. But it should be relatively easy, they usually are in laptops. And the hot air comes out of the left hand side of the chassis, so should be no problem with a cooling stand :)

my setup with cosmos comes at 50 less than the setup with skyfire and it has two drives so if the airflow is better i will go with the cosmos, what wireless card you have and is it working good ?

cooler

caddy

I have the killer wifi card as the standard one has known issues. I would advise not getting the standard one or the N-135, any of the others should be fine.
