The big "what am I doing today" babble thread

I'm sat here panicking about my 2 assignments due in on Monday and Wednesday, trying to distract myself and thinking about how close the fallout 4 release date is :p

Well, Last night as I didn't write it then. I played some more Final Fantasy VII and got to the sad part booooo. So that's Disc 1 finished.

Today, I went round to the local camera specialist to talk about the Camera the GF is after and I might try and get for Xmas (Dependant on her dad helping out as it is pricey!) and now finished all my work for the day so twiddling my thumbs a bit, waiting on Black Friday to see if I can get some cheap upgrades (Need a new SSD and couple HDDs's) and keep building my dream replacement PC on the configurator, getting grumpy that I cant afford it as I still have loans to pay off.

And now I am drinking a cuppa.

A nice watch indeed, except .....
You posted at 14:35 but it looks like the watch was purchased at 11:32 and has not worked since (may also have been at 23:00 in 24 hr mode). On the face of it, it looks like a BSOD although I can't quite make out which of the dials is showing the error code. It may have something to do with it being the 1884 model and the dealer has not applied a recent firmware upgrade. Also check that the drivers are compatible with Windows 10.

To be honest I bought the watch the day before, but I couldn't resist posting it on this thread. To say I'm pleased is a massive understatement, it's the watch I've long wanted. It doesn't run Windows 10, nor Linux, and certainly not Android, it uses a traditional, highly reliable, low maintenance, non-digital operating system known as clockwork. Clockwork requires no drivers, no installation, and is fully compatible with all wrists and all timezones. It's analogue user interface is also multilingual and with no quantization distortion common on digital UIs. In addition, the white rotating bezel is a circular slide rule with optimisations for speed, distance, and time calculations, distance conversion, and consumption rates (it's a pilot's watch really). It is in fact a mechanical analogue computer and since I grew up with slide rules it's very familiar. It looks good too!

Let the records show I did not make any jokes about the 'device' (I knew deadeyeduk would be here soon enough)

I've now finished my days work so its time to go play some fifa, 20 minutes early tonight so that's a bonus.

I shall get ahead of the game and state that pretty much all of tomorrow I shall do no work at all, and instead spend the vast majority of the day* pondering manta's statement and try and work out whether the bracketed part was a compliment or not.

*not including lunch!

45mins and I've got to go out in the rain and wind. Drive 3 miles (approx) and then struggle to find a car space and then sit in my car waiting until 9:50-9:55 until I walk in it again. Then have an exciting 4.5 hours in college (not really 'exciting').

Come back home and get back on Anno 2205 because I'm addicted to it.

Today we took Rudy our basset hound for a walk on nearby Almyros Beach, it's gorgeous after the tourists have left. Then back to the marina for another relaxing day....

so another rough day then eh?

I would post a picture of where I walked my dog today but I could hardly see anything for the rain bouncing off my eyeballs...
