The wife needs a new PC

Hi,

The wife's PC is on the blink and I'm looking to buy her something that's gonna get a few good years out of it - gaming wise.

At most, will be looking to game at 1440p at medium to high settings in recently released games.

Got a budget of 1250 ish ( monitors and everything else already owned).

Anything with a little style/colour would make her happy too Got any suggestions? ( am also looking to expedite amd have 3 day delivery)

Though 3 day delivery eats a big chunk of the budget and would add £60.

A GTX 1060 would manage medium at 1440p happily enough. But it's kind of a waste of the resolution to be playing medium/high at 1440p vs ultra at 1080, which is what the 1060 would be more geared towards.

Thanks for this, I made two changes to the build here, one being a 1080 and the other being an additional 8gb if ram and a bit more psu power

You may want to consider buying the system with the minimum of RAM and buying and installing your own 3000MHz/2933MHz kit, if that's something you're comfortable doing.

Faster RAM can be very helpful in some games in any system, and Ryzen is said to benefit a fair deal more than Intel systems
