Thermal Paste for Intel 4th gen Core computers

Hey guys

Just a quick question regarding the cooling options for Intel 4th gen Core Systems:

Why is it that the configurator doesn't allow the Arctic MX-4 Extreme thermal conductivity compound when trying to build an intel 4th gen system? I find it curious that the option for it doesn't even show up on the configurator. Anyone know why?

probably because it's not need. The past PCS use isn't top spec like the MX-4 but it is certainly much much better than most. I have had my rig 3 years now and the standard paste is still holding up quite well. So the reason I think they don't offer it is because too many people would upgrade unnecessarily, the standard stuff is quite good already.
