Does this sound good for someone who will be doing a lot of social networking, photo-manipulation and storing multimedia? Is the monitor and graphics card high quality for HD viewing?

Thanks. Also the laptop is just about in my budget, and I found a voucher code, but I lost it! Are there any codes going around that I can use?

The above laptop will be fine for viewing multimedia and social networking. It will also be fine for touching up the odd photo. The screen itself isn't full HD, but their would be nothing stopping you from connecting it tot a full hd display should you wish.

Might be worth adding the silvery warranty, full cover for a year door to door service. Can't fault it for a fiver.

I know that their used to be a voucher code in the BBC Focus magazine, it's the only one i have ever seen. Thats what i used anyway. It will be in the Science and tech section.

all fine apart from these few things

probably best to get 1x4GB RAM incase you ever want to add more RAM

i recommend getting the 7,200RPM drive and you will notice the difference in boot times of OS and programs

make sure you get the silver warranty for a fiver

also the insurance is ongoing after the 1 month trial and will renew itself automatically and will not be free, so you may not even want to bother with it incase you forget about it and you are charged for it :(

you may want to consider the upgrade to the i5, i think its around £40 more, if you can afford that it may be worth it although not a necessity
