Ticking sound accompanied by this screen

Hi all, when I turn my Vortex III on there is a ticking sound (ticks about 0.5 secs apart) with this showing on the screen:

Any ideas?

I suspect the ticking sound is the HDD seeking but failing somehow, the error message is because the BIOS then went on trying to boot the next devices in the boot list and ended up with a network boot and no network cable connected.

If you boot the Windows install DVD can you access your hard disk from there? Try opening a command prompt and navigate to your C: drive, do a DIR listing. If that works the HDD itself is ok but the boot sector might be corrupted. In that case use the repair option on the Windows install DVD and choose startup repair.

You said bomb! That'll trigger the NSA snooping thingy for sure. I love President Obama, he's my hero (that's me safe now then). :D
