Tomb Raider problems

I was playing tomb raider earlier on max and my pc couldnt handle it so it shut it down, I decided to try playing in 1920x1080 instead of sacrificing graphic quality but when I click to play it opens up, I can hear background noise but its a blank screen, then I cant shut it down. Anyone know how to fix it or what the problem may be?

It works but only if I play in 5760x1080 which means lowering the graphics settings.

Hey Jack,

I know there are issues with Nvidia cards and tomb raider but most of the issues are with the GTX600 series as far as i know.

There is this steam thread http://steamcommunity.com/app/203160/discussions/0/846946775329500066/ may have the answer but i cannot open it at work so it may be garbage.
