Too Much?

I'm currently in the process of getting a desktop pc. It would be used for general use and games like Football Manager, Eurotruck simulator, and I want to start playing iRacing.

I have a £1000 budget but that has to include a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

I'm no good with parts so if the following enough for me:

Processor: AMD A10-7700K Quad Core APU (3.8GHz) & Radeon R7 Series Graphics

Motherboard: ASUS A68HM PLUS FM2+

RAM: 8GB Kingston Dual DDR3 1600 MHz

Graphics Card: Integrated AMD Radeon HD 8000 / R7 Series Graphics

Hard Disk: 1TB 3.5 SATA-III 6GB/s HDD 7200RPM 32mb cache

None of this makes sense to me. I don't want to get less than what I need, but equally I don't want to go overboard and end up with a pc I'll never maximise.

A small SSD for the OS and common software speeds up loading times massively. Of course you could just get one huge ssd if you want for everything but they're pricey. So a small ssd for os and common software, a bigger regular hard drive for everything else. For £1000 budget an ssd could certainly be part of your thoughts. Once you go ssd, especially for os boot times, you'll never go back.

Makes sense.

I'm looking to get a bigger monitor so I may well just pay the extra and go over my budget, but if you were to save say £100 on your recommendation, what would you downgrade?

Thank you for your help.

Get rid of the ssd to save funds... They're a luxury but not essential. So just have one big regular hard drive. Cav black preferably but regular sata to save even more.

Though for not much over £1k you can get a 24" monitor and save by just getting a 120Gb ssd instead of 250gb. Still big enough for your os and a few pieces of software.

Is this spec too much for iRacing? iRacing is probably the most demanding game I'd ever play.
