Hopefully it will, the rest of the PC seems to be working fine. Do you think I would have to send it away or can they just send me a replacement part?

With something like a wireless card they will happily send you the part if you are happy to install it yourself, if it needs replacing.

If they agree it's a faulty card they will send a replacement.

In my experience if you speak to them on the phone and diagnose the issue there they tend to swap parts for you without physically checking them first, they're pretty awesome when it comes to that side of customer service.
