TPM Module - where to buy.

This is my build which is just over a year old.

Guess what Its incompatable with WINDOWS 11 - because it has no TPM. Its seems that I have to purchase a TPM module which are currently selling on ebay for £150. It an option on this board.

Does anyone know to purchase one relatively cheaper than the £150. Any help appreciated.

You should be able to just enable fTPM in the BIOS in the security section.

Section 3.6.1 in the manual on how to do it:

If you did want a hardware chip then it’s a 14-1 board which is £9, but you don’t need it.

People on eBay are morons

I have this enabled already and the option to erase if factory reset. Its the first thing I checked.

Unfortunately Window 11 update Tool does not accept fTPM as security (it may be a bug) - In the meantime I have managed to purchase a TPM m rev 2.0 module, the correct variant for my board for £15.00 inclusive of postage just in case.

Sorry for the initial rant - thanks for your help and being a sounding board.

To be honest I'd just wait until much closer to the actual release of Win11, things can change anyway.
Very true. It may well be they demand a hardware chip, or just as possible that they’ll roll back the requirement.

But for the sake of £15, it’s worthwhile futureproofing anyway while stocks are available.

Linus tech tips are apparently just about to release a video on enabling fTPM / TPP, apparently it’s not quite as straightforward as enabling the setting.
