I'm trying to get a new pc for main doing development. I'd like to ask if fellow members have any comments on this spec and use case:
- Ubuntu 14.04
- 4K screen
- Running vm's or docker containers
- java development mainly for running hadoop clusters
- Development, no gaming
I'm not looking for playing games so gpu performance doesn't matter. However I've played with linux last 20 years and I'm kinda not looking forward to spend days of setting this 4K simply to get my desktop up and running. So if fellow members have any comments on nvidia/4k or general system perf I'd be more than happy to hear it!
