UltraNote III VS Lafité II

These two laptops, at the exact same specs, are £93 difference in cost - in favour of the UltraNote III. In fact the UltraNote even appears to have a superior gfx card. Even if I upgrade the CPU on the UltraNote (I7 instead of I5) the UltraNote is still cheaper.

Is there any reason not to get the UltraNote and go for the Lafite instead? Assuming looks and form factor are not an issue (they aren't for me)

No massive difference other than form factor as you say and slightly larger screen. I got my Lafite back in January and had the Ultranote 3 been available I probably would have went for it as the Ultranote 2 had a lower res screen. The issue with the Lafite is single channel RAM so slower than dual channel and limited to 8GB whereas you can have 16GB in the Ultranote.

I love my Lafite, I barely notice I'm carrying it in my bag. You can get the i7 with 8GB, Samsung Evo 250gb and the better WiFi card for £599 if you follow the review link on Techradar as I did and make no changes to the spec.

Thanks for your reply.

There are anomolies on the configurator it seems. The detailed spec for the UltraNote says it only supports 1333 ram, but 1600 is available to buy.
