Unable to configure case ARGB fans.

Hi all. So the fans were configuring, along with the CPU fans and cooler, within the armoury crate programme, but now they are just set on orange.

I have downloaded iCUE to configure the RAM lights, and no option there for anything but the RAM, so don't think that's an issue, I also downloaded OpenRGB but deleted it as I preferred the simplicity of Armoury Crate. So don' think that is an issue.

One day, I just turned on the PC and they were Orange.... I hate orange!

ACrate still configures the CPU stuff, but no way to change the case fans, front or back. I believe they are plugged in to one of the 2 ARGB headers at the bottom of the MOBO. I have sword them over, but nothing.

Attached a picture prior to this occurring.

Thanks for any assistance.

Armoury Crate and iCue will clash, you can only really have one installed or the other or they fight over the rgb controller.

There is a way to integrate armoury crate into iCue, but it's not very reliable from what I've heard

Yes, you've got a mix of Corsair RAM, PCS case, PCS cooler, Asus motherboard.

The case, cooler & motherboard lights can all be controlled from Armoury Crate (don't be tempted to install ANY of the non-Asus driver/software updates it offers), but the RAM lights will have to use iCUE.

However, there is an Asus plug-in/extension for iCUE...but as I don't use it, I don't know whether it will also let you control the PCS items.

There is a 3rd party solution (the name of which I keep forgetting) that may allow you to control the lot through a single app - but again, as I've not used it I can't say how easy it is to configure.

Still no luck. Uninstalled everything. Armourycrate and icue. And then installed open rgb. Can control everything apart from the case fans. Annoying.

Ah, I just thought, I have a sneaking suspicion that case has a weird thing where you can switch it between changing RGB via the button on the case, or by the motherboard.

Can you take a photo of the button panel on the case and upload it? Photo's need to be under 1MB in size

Ugh. It's what I thought was a reset button..... Haha. I thought I'd never seen a reset button for about 20 years. Haha. I did do some digging and saw that the header goes to a little multi LED terminal on the back. Was about to start disconnecting things until I saw your post. Haha.

But how unnecessary!

Thanks muchly!

Just try something. Press and hold that button for a little while, then see if the RGB switches control to the motherboard?

Yeah it did. Hah. I pressed it to reset it. At some point.... obviously it didn't reset it. Hahaha.

It cycles through colours and one colour is essentially motherboard control.

Thanks. :)
Yeah, a PCS staff member pointed this out a while ago, and I'd completely forgotten. It's actually quite a clever feature, unusual in such a budget case.

That's cool though, gives you some options.
