Uninstall of existing drivers before GPU upgrade?

Hi all,

I have managed to get my hands on a RTX3070 which arrived today. My current GPU is a GTX1660 Super.

My question is, do you need to uninstall the existing drivers using DDU before you do the install of the new card or is does it not matter? Seems to be differing opinions based on who you ask so wanted to check with you all on here first.

Thanks in advance

You dont -need- to, but it is advisable.
It will properly remove everything, which doesnt happen if you just update the drivers.

You absolutely should remove the old driver, yes! Having old driver code lying around is simply not wise, it might not cause a problem but if it does (and it might) then it will be an awful job trying to troubleshoot. Keep things clean. :)
