Hi, looking to upgrade my gpu or even my cpu , can anyone give me some ideas, she still runs like a dream but looking to do it for a Christmas present to myself

If it is mainly for gaming I wouldn't suggest upgrading the CPU. Depending on your budget you could consider the gtx 770.

Would my pc set up be able to handle the gtx 770, im willing to pay about 300/400 ? thank you for the reply
