I've had my custom made PC made by PC Specialist for about 4 years now, and want to upgrade some parts, but not sure what would be best. I'm looking to spend about £300. I don't use my PC for gaming primarily, I do play games but mostly old emulators and PES2019 which runs fine on it. Mostly use PC for Internet, videos etc. Here are current stats:

I have a SSD with 931GB of free memory on it. I would like to move windows over to it (which I thought I had done) as drive C:/ gets low on memory now a days. All help greatly appreciated.

So, why do you want to upgrade anything?

i.e. what is it that your PC does not do now that you want it to be capable of? Or what do you want it to do better?

Can you post the full spec of your PC specialist system?
Go into your main PCS account and open up the order, you can get the spec from there. My Orders > select the spec > scroll down and use the Post Spec to Forums button.

This will tell us what you actually have in the system as the above actually says very little.

Furthermore, is this SSD you are talking about already part of the system?

Cheers for reply. I should of mentioned that i'm looking to move to Windows 10 now that support for 7 is ending. When I went and installed 10 when it first came out for the free 1 year version, my PC crashed so many times in one day I reverted back to Win 7.
Also want to upgrade as parts are 5 years old.
Here is order details, I've got 16GB RAM as added more while back:

The thing is, if you don't want something specific from an upgrade, there's no point to doing it. What do you profit from having something newer, if the current thing is fine?

If you were an avid gamer and wanted to play the latest Total War game, or even Cities Skylines or a flight simulator, then ofc, upgrade. But if performance is adequate for your needs, don't bother. Save the money for an upgrade when you really do need it e.g. you become an avid gamer in the future, or develop a video editing hobby.

While you can move Windows over, you should take the opportunity to perform a clean installation.
Backup your data that you want to keep, remove the old drive from the system, install the new drive, and install Win 10.

You could also add an extra 4gb RAM as it's a very low cost upgrade that could have big payoffs even for basic office use,

I want to upgrade to Windows 10, my Samsung TV can connect to PC but only with Win 10, useful for playing some games on and for display when people are round to view movies/images etc. I'm not looking to profit on having something new it's just something I want to do.

Usually as far as the PC is concerned, it's just another HDMI display. And Windows 7 is fine with that. Why do you believe it requires Windows 10?
