Hi all so had the pc for around 15 months now , and was thinking in about 6 months or so i may want to get a few little upgrades , so am looking for some advice on what to make a priority .

I have a 5900x , i would assume that would still be good for a while for my gaming needs ?
My 3080 still performs well on my 3440x1440 monitor 100hz , so i think that would still be good for a while .
I want to increase storage so another ssd i would think be good to add.
Also the cpu cooler is the h115i elite cap . It seems to do a ok job, but do fancy a H150i, would it be wise to spend money on that upgrade ?

Is the upgrade option easy to use for pcs to do when needed ?

You should identify what's inadequate with the current performance and target that. You have a very strong PC that doesn't need upgrades on the face of it, unless you have unsatisfactory performance in some regard.

I have a 5900x , i would assume that would still be good for a while for my gaming needs ?
Undoubtedly. Probably for 5 years at the minimum.

My 3080 still performs well on my 3440x1440 monitor 100hz , so i think that would still be good for a while .
Definitely. It's still overkill for that display.

I want to increase storage so another ssd i would think be good to add.
You already have 3TB of solid state storage. Do you really need more? I'd suggest a 2TB hard drive would be the way to add storage if it's needed, unless you have a need for 5TB of very fast storage!

Also the cpu cooler is the h115i elite cap . It seems to do a ok job, but do fancy a H150i, would it be wise to spend money on that upgrade ?
No. It's a very, very minor upgrade in terms of cooling capacity. Maybe 10%; maybe less. The only advantage is that it looks pretty in the 5000X case. But to my mind the H115i also looks good.

Is the upgrade option easy to use for pcs to do when needed ?
It is very easy indeed, if you have anything that can plausibly be upgraded!

On a well designed PC you won't need to upgrade anything apart from storage as required and GPUs every 2 or 3 years.

You don't need to do anything on the platform or GPU.
