Upgrading the Processor.

So, I have The Fat Cow (see sig) and I'm contemplating an upgrade from my i5-2400S to an i7-3770. Thing is, I'm in some confusion due to reading contradictory things on the internets as to whether my motherboard will let me do that as although the H61 chipset (which is the B3 stepping on my board, according to CPU-Z) supports Ivy Bridge, the board itself appears to be revision 1.0 which some say does and others say doesn't.

Can someone clear this up at all?

I don't think the rev 1.0 will support Ivy. Here's what I think is the rev 1.0 specs from ASUS (I can only find the LX version?)

Looks like the rev 2.0 supports both and rev 1.0 only supports Sandy. If yours definitely isn't the LX then I have no idea
