hi all,

When I purchase a custom laptop from PcSpecialists and want to upgrade parts in several years time... how does this work? Can it be easily opened and parts replaced to newer parts? Where do i get these parts? Do PcSpecialists sell stand-alone parts?

Going to order a custom laptop in the next 1 or 2 weeks. Thanks!

You can use the upgrade section but in "several years" PCS is not likely to hold any CPU compatible with your chassis, the gpu also depends on the chassis you have chosen. Some laptops have the gpu soldered into the motherboard and you wouldn't be able to upgrade it. Ram and hard drives is easier.

no problem - if i buy for example new RAM or a SSD from ebay, would it be easy enough to install myself? i have no problems doing it in a pc that i used to build myself but laptops are new territory for me

SSD and ram yes, you should get instructions with your laptop on how to do it. You can also check videos on YouTube,
