Urgent help with RAM

Hello,

Im having problems with my RAM speeds and I have no clue what so ever whats causing the decrease of the MHz.

I have a -dual kingston hyperx Beast running at 889MHz- and a -dual hyperx Fury running at 667MHz- (16gb in total) DRAM Frequency 400MHz - NB Frequency 2208MHz

I have a freind who has a standard dual 8gb 1600MHz ram and runs at 800Mhz bandwith, his loading screen on games run faster then mine by 25% I.e League of Legends. every thing on my pc is better then his.

i have a sabertooth 990fx motherboard and the 8 core 8cache 4.2ghz processor..

i have cleaned my computer using ccleaner and spybot still no diffrerence if anyone could help me explain why im getting such a massive loss of MHz on my rams id appriciate it alot!

The board supports a max speed of 1866, so the best RAM won't be able to run at full speed.

What are you using to read speeds? And what os drive setup do you have?

Thank you for the reply. I'm quite gutted when building this PC from PC specialists that I was not informed of my board not supporting the speeds plus it was not optimised for it eaither.

I'm not computer savvy but with huge amounts of research I managed to find my ram bios setup it's 9 9 9 24 and using cpu-z

I made a slight mix up on ram speeds my fury is running at 889mhz faster then my beast by over 200mhz.

I think I need to change the settings in bios to optimise both cards and Iv tried different methods after reading forums for 2 hours but I cannot seems to get it to work, also I have no idea how what I'm doing in bios or what to expect so if anyone knows what there doing could guide me I'd very much appreciate it.

how different is your friend's pc? I don't think the ram will make any noticeable difference for gaming

I'd agree wholeheartedly with this. RAM will just run at the max supported by the fastest module and the board. I wouldn't go adjusting settings per module as it should be the same accross all of them.

I think it's more likely that the speed issues you're facing are with the hard drive.

Everything on my PC is a far better then his except the ram speeds. I have my league of legends downloaded on my SSD card while he has a low end 500gb hard drive and LoL load up screen is determined by RAM I belive and always beats me at load up when I have the faster PC. Iv always noticed my ram underperforming but never knew about the MHz till I bought my fury ram a week ago and noticed my beats are at a very low bandwidth.

When I mean both cards I mean the fury and beast by hyper x

What I'm saying is even if they are running at 700mhz per channel rather than 900, I doubt that would hamper performance in the way your describing. It's definitely something that needs to be looked at but i doubt it's the cause of slow game loading.

What model of ssd do you have, in fact post your full specs.

The loading screens on LoL depend on a combination of Hard Drive speed and Memory speed, with hard drive speed being the priority and memory speed only making slight differences so really you should have faster loading than he has even with slower memory.

As to how different speeds of memory would run, I was under the impression that two sticks won't run at two different speeds and that the board will only run at the slowest sticks speed, so if you have a stick that can run at 700 and a stick that can run at 800 they will both run at 700.
