I had a similar issue with my Cosmos II at first, although it's sorted itself out now. I found that just a simple restart sorted it out, maybe that's what fixed it and not the virus scan? Just tell us if it happens again :)

If it happens again try the static discharge procedure. This involves removing the battery, leave the laptop plugged in but have the wall power switch off. Hold the power button on the laptop down for about 30 seconds. Then put the battery back switch the mains back on and reboot. This can often (at least temporarily) cure USB problems.

Forgot to mention i also did the disk defragmenter before the full scan only 10% was fragmented as i think that isnt alot right?

Also with the full virus scan it has found something before 3 things but i believe there not a virus so i didnt eliminate, reason why is if i click on problem description and it takes me to kaspersky's website it says cant find virus record on all 3, and with the object name for all 3 it says not-a-virus:Adware.MSIL.DomaIQ.cbus

2 of them are google chrome setup and one is some AppData local temp thing, should i eliminate these or not?

I have this issue too with my laptop, a Vortex IV 17"... Mine was intermittent, but now it's permanent. Might try some of the fixes before I email them.

I've just had the same/similar problem. It shutdown normally last night (or at least appeared to). This morning, none of the usb ports were working (mouse, printer and phone - though was powering the phone), plus it wasn't recognising the built in webcam. When I tried a reboot, shut down would hang. Eventually I did a system restore in safe mode, as restore wasn't working in normal mode.

@ radiocaf & mumha have you tried the static discharge i mentioned on page 1 ? I have a two year old Dell that intermittently gets the same problems and it usually fixes it for several months before it reoccurs (i suspect dust in the laptop is a contributory factor to static buildup).
