Got my new pc, was not impressed, collapsed hardrives, support said they would phone me back in seconds, never did.
I sorted the hardrives out myself, now it seems there is a problem with the front 4 usb's at the top of the sniper case next to the power on button, they are not working, i have connected several devices to them and nothing.
the rear usbs are fine.....
Any help guys? as pc specialist dont seem to care...

Could the power cables to the front usb area have been dislodged either in transit or during the course of your hdd repairs? Seems odd that they would ALL have failed, so power might be the answer?

Yeah, since the HDD's seemed to get dislodged in transit, I'm guessing any connections to the USB ports did too.

It's possible you weren't rung back because they had the incorrect number for you, and I know they're really really busy at the moment.

I don't think it has anything to do with dislodge in transit. Looking at your spec and from what you're saying i think it's due to the fact that you don't have any room or a spare USB connector possibly. The rampage board you're using has 1 i think unless it's a firewire connector.

If you could open up your case your I/O Function Panel should have a usb connector that looks something like this with "USB" on it:

Your Sniper case should have 2 of these cables so either 1 would do.

According to your Rampage, try check to see if the connector says "USB1XXX" (Xs are numbers) and not a Firewire connector that says something like "IE 1394" cause both have the same 10-1pins but are not the same. If it does say USB then you could be in luck, just try connecting one of the USB Connectors to it an see if 2 usbs that work?

The USB2 Connectors should be located here on your rampage:

This may solve you problem but do get back with the news :)
